Our Work in the Community

Our Commitment to Our Community

As a company that believes in the value of family, we see community building as an extension of that virtue. By working with local non-profits, businesses, and schools we are able to foster prosperity in the communities that we seek to serve. At the core of our business is the desire to help others and there is no better place to do so than in our own back yard.

Our Commitment to Our Clients

At Johndrow Wealth Management we seek to reach the pinnacle of client relations. Clients are always welcomed to network with our team and their fellow clients while simultaneously engaging with their communities. To create an environment rich in experience and communication, we actively invite our clients to build their personal networks alongside our staff through regular civic engagements.

There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about
— Margaret J. Wheatley

Annual Shred-It Event & Food Drive

Security is of the utmost importance to us and our clients, which is why we invite our clients to bring their confidential documents to our office every September. During this event, our parters at FileShred provide mobile shredding trucks that clients can use to safely and securely dispose of their sensitive documents. We are proud to say that in 2017 we recycled 2,000 pounds of paper which is the equivalent of 17 trees!

In conjunction with our Shred-It event, we host our annual food drive for the Farmington Food Pantry. Over 100 pounds of food was collected in 2017 alone and we aim grow this number as we continue to build valuable connections in our community.

Johndrow Wealth Management Proudly Sponsors the Petit Family Road Race

Petit Family Foundation Mission Statement - The Petit Family Foundation honors the memories of Jennifer Hawke-Petit, Hayley Elizabeth-Petit and Michaela Rose Petit by continuing the kindness, idealism and activism that defined their lives. We are proud sponsors of the Petit Family Foundation annual 5k Road Race. The Petit Family foundation has given over 2 million dollars in grants to educational programs across the country. Examples of institutions that have received grants from the foundation, which range from $10k to $100k, are Channel 3 Kids camp, Children’s Museum Inc., Goodwin College nursing, Interval House, Smart Start Stem International, Emerge Inc., Domestic Violence Crisis Center. We strongly believe in their advocacy for young women, particularly those involved in the applied sciences.

Miss Porter's Community Service - Johndrow Wealth Managment

Miss Porter's School - Alumnae Board of Directors & Financial Literacy Seminar

Financial Advisor Maggie Johndrow serves on the Miss Porter’s School of Alumni Board of Directors, using her expertise in the financial sector to contribute to the advancement of young women. The school played a significant role in her academic and professional life as a student and she pays it forward with her service as an alumni.

An example of her commitment to the empowerment of Miss Porter’s students, Maggie led a Financial Literacy Seminar for seniors on the topic of personal finance including student loans, credit cards, and budgeting. She is constantly impressed by the students and this is what she had to say following the conclusion of the seminar:

These young women were so impressive and asked insightful questions, even about investing! We hope to inspire more women to pursue economics and finance!
